I reckon it usually means that it’s an embarrassment for the music industry in general. It’s embarrassing for the artist, because observably they assessor thinks their stuff is crap and therefore they should be embarrassed for producing such low quality music. And it’s KIND of embarrassing for the listener and assessor, because of the same wits: it’s like a shame to music. I reckon that’s what it generally means, but in the end most of the embarrassment would be to the name of music and the artist.
